Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Health Minister V S Sivakumar and MLAs were present at the airport to receive the bodies. Naval officers accorded a guard of honour to the two victims as a mark of respect.
The bodies of Biju Lawrence and Vishnu Viswambharan were identified through forensic examination at Mumbai. The bodies, which were kept in the mortuary of J J Hospital in Mumbai, were handed over to relatives at a special ceremony attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
