The deceased, Harish Agarwal, had a wholesale grocery store in Moti Ganj, they said.
Agarwal was unmarried and lived with his elder brother in Jeoni Mandi area, police said.
His family members said he was under depression since last few days, a police official said.
Some shopkeepers who knew Agarwal told the police that he was suffering losses in business, the official added.
