Body of Hyderabad student who died in Australia to reach home

The mortal remains of Indian student Naveen Mulakalapalli, who died in Australia last month, will reach Hyderabad on August 5.
According to a statement from the Office of Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu today, Emirates flight EK528 would carry the body from Brisbane via Dubai.
The office of the Ministry of External Affairs sent a note to this effect to the office of the Urban Development Minister, the statement added.
Earlier, Naidu had requested External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to take all necessary steps to bring back the mortal remains of Mulakalapalli at the earliest.
Mulakalapalli, who was studying in Australia, met with an accident and succumbed to injuries on July 24 in Brisbane. His body has been kept at John Tong Morgue, Cooper Plains, Brisbane, the statement said.
Family members of Mulakalapalli requested Naidu to ensure that the mortal remains are brought back at the earliest, the statement said, adding he took up the matter with the External Affairs Minister.
The office of the External Affairs Minister immediately contacted the Deputy High Commissioner in Brisbane and pursued with the local authorities to send the body to India at the earliest, it said.
