Body of Akash Verma, son of a jeweller, was recovered from the sack near rose garden on Ballia turning this morning, they said.
Sanjay Sharma, Akash's father, said that he had received an extortion call of Rs 40 lakh and a kidnapping case was lodged yesterday.
Two friends of the victim were being quizzed in this connection, police said.
