According to Expressway police SHO Satish Chandra, the police were informed last evening that the body of a man with burn injuries was spotted by the passersby at sector 128.
The police rushed to the spot, took custody of the body and sent it for a post-mortem.
A case has been lodged against unidentified persons, Chandra said, adding that the police were trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased by questioning the residents of the area.
The cause of death will be known after the post-mortem, he added.
