The identity of the man was yet to be ascertained, they said, adding that there were stab wounds on the body.
It is suspected that the man, aged between 23-25, was stabbed at the same place from where his body was found.
The police are questioning the locals in order to identify the deceased. Photographs of the man had been circulated among the nearby police stations, the police said.
