Singh, a resident of Gurdaspur district, had gone to Dubai in 2006 at the age of 18 to earn livelihood where he along with 13 persons was arrested in a murder case in 2009.
A Dubai-based court had sentenced him to life imprisonment, which was later converted into death penalty by the apex court, said Gurcharan Singh, father of the deceased.
The deceased was unmarried, he added.
The body was received here at Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport (Rajasansi airport) by his father.
He is running an NGO 'Sarbat Da Bhalla' here and had earlier brought 43 bodies of Indians who had died in Dubai due to various reasons.
