Bold grain price up on brisk demand, less arrivals

Bajra and Jowar prices rose at the wholesale market in the national capital today following restricted arrivals from producing belts amid strong demand.
However, wheat dara prices declined on fresh arrivals amid slackned demand.
Elsewhere, rice and other grains ruled flat on sporadic demand.
Marketmen said fall in arrivals from growing regions amid pickup in demand mainly pushed up bold grain prices.
In the national capital, bajra, jowar, maize and barley prices improved to settle at Rs 1,200-1,210, Rs 1,600-1,700, Rs 1,500-1,550 and Rs 1,400-1,410 per quintal,respectively.
On the other hand, wheat dara prices weakened due to fresh supplies, quoting Rs 50 lower at Rs 1,650-1,700 per quintal but wheat MP too strengthened supported by restricted qarrivals and went up by Rs 50 to Rs 2,400-2,800 per quintal.
