Bollywood mourns veteran music composer Ravindra Jain's demise

From actors to singers, film fraternity today mourned the loss of veteran music composer-singer Ravindra Jain, calling his demise a great loss to the industry.
Many celebrities took to Twitter to condole Jain's death, the man behind melodious tunes in films like "Chitchor", "Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se" and "Nadiya Ke Paar". Jain, 71, died due to multiple organ failure.
"I'm saddened to hear that great musician, poet, singer Ravindra Jain passed away today. May his soul rest in peace," Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar tweeted.
Actress Hema Malini, who collaborated with Jain for her stage shows, was shocked to hear about his death.
"Just heard the shattering news that my beloved Dada, Ravindra Jain passed away today after falling sick at a concert in Nagpur. I am devastated," Hema Malini tweeted.
"He understood exactly what I wanted and was able to interpret my ideas perfectly. He can never be replaced. Rest in peace dearest Dada."
Sanjay Khan, who worked closely with the composer on serials "Jai Hanuman" and "Maha Kavya Mahabharat", remembered Jain as a "great conversationalist".
"I am saddened by his demise. It is a great loss to the world of music. He had given memorable score for the serials. His contribution to the world of music cannot be forgotten. He was a great conversationalist, he spoke lovely Urdu. I shall meet his family soon," Khan told PTI.
Some of Jain's most popular work was done for Rajshree Productions on their films like "Chitchor", "Nadiya Ke Paar", "Vivah" and "Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi".
"It is a huge loss. He had given music for 19 films of Rajshri Productions. He was like family to us. We did speak to his wife and brother yesterday. There were other few films planned with him," P K Gupta, General Manager of Rajshri Productions, said.
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor recalled his memories of working with Jain on "Henna".
"R I P. Ravindra Jain 'Daddu'. Thank you for the lovely music. You did Henna for me," Kapoor tweeted.
Singer Sonu Nigam wrote, "Prayers for Ravindra Jain saheb... One of my most favourite composers ever... His Henna, I consider, is one of the finest scores ever."
"Genius composer Ravindra jain ji left us today... RIP," said Salim Merchant.
Composer Shekhar Ravijani wrote, "My deepest condolences to the family of Shri Ravinder Jain. Thank you for the music Sir.
