An unclaimed black bag triggered a bomb scare among passengers at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose international airport here today but it turned out to be a hoax.
Airport police authorities said that around 4.30 pm, an unclaimed black bag was found on a trolley between Gates number I and II of the domestic terminal.
As the passengers panicked, the bomb squad rushed to the spot and seized the bag, sources said.
On examination, the bag was found to be empty and could have been left behind by mistake by a passenger, the police said.
