The 10-day long festival, which runs from August 5 to 15, will open with Meryl Streep-starrer "Ricky And The Flash".
"Bombay Velvet", starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, will be screened in the Piazza Grande category which has titles like "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl," "Southpaw," Judd Apatow's "Trainwreck," and "Amnesia."
Kashyap's movie had a poor run at the box office in India when it released this May but the director said despite its failure, the period drama will remain his "absolute favourite".
Kannada film "Thithi" by Raam Reddy is another India film to be screened in the Cineasts of the Present category at the festival. It is Reddy's debut film.
