Saharana Bibi, the former sarpanch of Brahmabarada village, claimed four people came in two motorcycles around 1.30 am (Monday night) and hurled two bombs at her house, investigating officer Surendra Kumar Rath said.
No one was injured in the attack, the officer said.
He suspected the incident to be fallout of a property-related rivalry.
"Saharana Bibi's long-standing dispute with his sister-in-law's relatives over a piece of land could be the reason behind yesterday's incident. We have registered a case and the matter is still under investigation," said Rath.
Home guard Prakash Chandra Sahoo suffered injuries when some unidentified persons hurled two bombs at Jenapur police station in the district on Thursday.
No one has been arrested in this connection so far, Rath added.
