Jadhav had represented India at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, along with Khashaba Jadhav, who won the bronze medal.
The book, titled 'Ajinkyatara', and written by sports writer Sanjay Dudhane, was launched at the wrestling tournament underway in Pune, by the vice president of Indian Olympic Association Balasaheb Landge.
Shrirang Jadhav's son Amar, who has carried forward his father's tradition of training wrestlers, said former Maharashtra chief minister Y B Chavan had encouraged the late Jadhav to start a wrestlers training facility in Satara.
The Olympian wrestler's school mate and noted orator, thinker and former vice-chancellor of Marathwada University late Shivajirao Bhosle has penned the introduction to the book, Dudhane said.
