Four booth level officers have been booked for allegedly being absent from duty here during preparation of voters list in the district.
According to Tehsildar Ashok Kumar Gupta, the officials -- Pushpa Devi, Farhana, Bushra and Ruksana -- were booked by the police yesterday under Section 32 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
The women officials were found absent from duty during the preparation of the voters list for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls due next year, Gupta said.
