Boy drowns in Brahmani

Brahmani near Taraker pump house in Odisha's Sundargarh district, police said today.

The mishap occurred under Raghunathpalli police limits, on the outskirt of the city yesterday, police said.

Aditya Pati (16) along with his friends was taking bath in the river but suddenly slipped into the deep water. His body has been fished out by his friends, they said.

In another incident, a boy identified as Magasira Naik (18) was killed yesterday when he was knocked down by a tipper near Tensa under Lahunipada police limts of the district, the police said.
