Aaqib Wani (17) and Shahid Ahmad (16), both residents of Shar Shali, went for a bath at a canal in the periphery of their village in Pampore, 16 kms from here, when they slipped into the deep waters, they said.
However, both of them were rescued and were rushed to hospital where Aaqib was declared dead on arrival by the doctors, police added.
