Boy drowns in river, another missing in Jharkhand

A boy drowned in Auranga river in Latehar district and another is missing after they went for a swim, a police officer said.

Five children of Pokhritala village in Betla went for a swim on Tuesday when one of them was swept away by strong currents while three others swam to safety, he said.

The body of one boy was fished out on Wednesday while efforts are on to trace the second boy.

The children were in the age group of 11 to 12.
