A seventh standard student, who sustained serious burns in an accidental fire at a school in nearby Pollachi a fortnight ago, died at the Government Hospital here today.
The 13-year-old boy had gone to the Municipality-run school on August six and entered the kitchen.
After noticing kerosene, he poured it on some garbage nearby and set it afire but the flames enveloped him, police said.
Some passers-by who saw the boy running heltet-skelter doused the flames and took him to the nearby government hospital from where he was shifted to the one here.
He died in the wee hours, police said.
