28-year old V Anandraj, a civil engineer with a private construction company, was critically injured in a road accident in Tirupur district on January 16 while heading to his native Aaiyakudi village on a two-wheeler.
Doctors at Kovai Medical Centre and Hospital (KMCH) here, where he was being treated, declared him brain dead on January 18 and his father Vijayaraghavan volunteered to donate the organs, a KMCH release said.
A team of doctors from Government Hospital here and KMCH harvested two kidneys, liver, and skin and sent them to different hospitals.
