The 34-year-old actor will appear in the third season in a recurring role as Ray Palmer, also known as DC superhero the Atom, reported Variety.
In the show, Ray becomes the new owner of Queen Consolidated, playing an important role in the lives of Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).
The Atom can alter the size of his body and other objects, and has previously appeared in the Cartoon Network's Young Justice series. It will be the first time he has appeared in a live action project.
Devon Aoki has also joined as Katana, while Peter Stormare and Karl Yune will star as well.
'Arrow' premieres its third season on October 8.
