Vasco Sports Club, one of the oldest clubs in Goa, along with 'Muskan', a support group for cancer survivors, will hold the 'Goa Pink Run', in which there will be a 10 kilometer marathon and five kilometres of fun walk.
"There will be 40-50 breast cancer survivors, who will walk on the day. There are some who are readying for a ten kilometre run," said Babita Agarwal, Trustee of Muskan.
Goa has the second highest number of breast cancer cases in the country after Delhi.
"With proper treatment, cancer can be cured and one can live productive life for years," she said.
Renowned oncologist Dr Shekhar Salkar will flag off the event at Miramar.
