Bridegroom's father killed in road accident

The father of a bridegroom was killed and eight others of a marriage party were injured when their bus overturned and fell into a ditch near Buchchi crossing in Banka district, police said today.
The incident occurred when the driver lost control of the bus carrying a marriage party from Bhagalpur to Bharko village last night, Superintendent of Police Pushkar Anand said.
The bridegroom's father Ram Pravesh Rai (55) died on the spot, while eight others sustained injuries.
All the injured were admitted to hospital.
