Actress Brie Larson says she wants to pick up roles that give her better understanding of her self and humanity.
The 26-year-old actress, who won Golden Globe award for the best actress drama category for "Room", said she never picks simple characters, reported Female First.
"I don't take roles that are 'just another role'. I'm interested in learning more about myself and about humanity. So it should change you by the time it's done," Larson said.
The actress, who plays plays a kidnapped mom in 'Room', feels the role taught her about the "struggle of being a mother".
