This would be second time for Mars taking to the stage of MTV EMAs after his stint in 2011, reported Ace Showbiz.
For the upcoming show, Mars is going to perform a track off his latest album, Unorthodox Jukebox.
The Hawaii-born singer will join previously-announced performers like Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Kings of Leon, Icona Pop, Snoop Dogg, Afrojack, Imagine Dragons, The Killers and Katy Perry.
The nominations for this year's MTV EMAs are led by singer Justin Timberlake and rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who are bagging five nods each. The two entertainers are set to compete in various categories that include Best Male, Best Live, Best Video and Best Song.
