The border guarding force has not only created a number of communication infrastructure like bridges and roads, it has also improvised and started a number of civic facilities in flood hit villages of the Kalimath valley.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has adopted the villages of Kalimath, Kaviltha, Kotma, Syansu, Chilond, Kuljhethi, Khenni, Jaltala, Choumasi and Bhuynki which are on the banks of the Kali river.
"The squad has been deployed to provide help to villagers who were affected by the flash floods in the state. The troops will remain there for some more time," as senior official said.
The force had also helped in the upkeep and restoration of the Kalimath temple.
Troops of the paramilitary had also donated their one day salary amounting to about Rs 16 crore in solidarity with the victims of the rains tragedy.
