BSF jawan killed in accidental firing by colleague

A BSF jawan Rajesh Jadav (24) was killed when a bullet fired by another jawan and aimed at cattle smugglers accidentally hit him today, police said.
The incident happened at Hanskhali-Baranberia border area in Nadia district, the police said adding a BSF team was chasing a group of cattle smugglers along the international border and when one of the jawans opened fire, a bullet accidentally hit Rajesh.
The jawan, who was a resident of Koderma in Jharkhand, was declared dead on arrival by the doctors at a local hospital and the body has been sent for post mortem, they added.
