BSF jawan shot dead by step brother ahead of his wedding

A BSF jawan was shot dead by his step brother in City Kotwali police station area here today just hours before his wedding, police said.
The deceased Avinash Rastogi (28) who was scheduled to get married this evening was going on his motorcycle when his step brother Vikas, brandishing pistols in both hands, opened fire at him near the Ghantaghar, SP Rajubabu Singh said.
The youth was rushed to Lucknow Trauma Centre where he succumbed to injuries, the SP said, adding that there was a dispute between the two as the deceased was marrying his step brother's sister-in-law.
Two people have been taken into custody while hunt was on for the killer, he said.
