BSNL, SISL tie-up for GST filing services

State-run telecom firm BSNL today included IT firm SISL Infotech in its list of GST Suvidha Providers (GSP) to help broadband customers file tax returns.
"The concept of providing GST filing service started when BSNL was preparing for transitioning to GST regime. SISL Infotech has been providing IT related services to BSNL and now we are collaborating with them to enable our customers to adopt GST in easy and simple manner," BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava said.
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) filing software will record invoices on a personal computer, hand held device or smartphone and compute taxes according to the product or service.
BSNL has also collaborated with Masters India and Taxman Publications Private Limited for providing the service.
"The service will be free for up to 4,000 invoices in a year. Thereafter it will charged at the rate of Rs 2,450 per annum till up to 8,000 invoices. Then we will offer customised solution for large enterprises where charges will depend on case to case basis," SISL Infotech Director Arjun Mittal said.
BSNL General Manager for Taxation, YN Singh said that within the first quarter of its launch, GST Suvidha Provider (GSP) service of the company is gaining traction in Kerala, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Coimbatore, Madurai and Madhya Pradesh.
"BSNL customers have flexibility to choose any of our GSP partner at any time of the year without any additional cost," Singh said.
The partnership between BSNL and its GSP partners is based on revenue share basis wherein BSNL will get 40 per cent from the business generated on its network.
