He also hinted at removing almost all taxes on mining sector in the state.
"Budget has given relief to the mining industry in Goa. The decision to abolish the export duty on the low grade iron ore will help in smooth taking off (restarting) of the mining industry," Parsekar told reporters reacting to the budget.
He said mining firms should avail the benefit of the "abolition of the tax" and resume extraction of the iron ore.
The state budget would be placed before the Legislative Assembly in its session beginning next month.
"The waiving off of the export duty will not only help mine owners but also those dependent on this industry," he said.
Hailing the budget as "focused one", Parsekar said it has given importance to various sectors like agriculture, irrigation, health, skilling and local self bodies.
