Builder shot dead outside office

A businessman was shot dead by two unidentified assailants here today, police said.
Two unidentified motorcycle-borne persons came outside the office of builder Rajesh Singh (35) at Sainath Nagar in Nalla Sopara this afternoon and fired at him at point blank range and fled the spot, PSI P Londhe of Nalla Sopara police station said.
Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared 'brought dead'.
The bullets hit him in the head due to which he collapsed on the spot, the officer said.
The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained but it could be related to business rivalry, he added.

An case has been registered in this regard under IPC and Arms Act sections and further investigation is on, police said.
