The bullet-riddled body of a notorious gangster, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, was found today in Badhi Majra village under Gangoh police station in the district here, police said.
According to Additional SP (Rural) Jagdish Sharma, the body of Asjad, a member of the Kagga gang, was found in the village today. The body had multiple bullet injuries. Police sent it for post-mortem.
Asjad, who carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, was the nephew of Kagga, a dreaded criminal, said Sharma.
Asjad's name recently cropped up when he allegedly demanded extortion money from a local brick kiln owner, said Sharma, adding that the businessman had lodged a case against Asjad and four others.
Asjad's brother Arshad has filed a police complaint against Wajid, a resident of Jandhedi, Haider and Wahid, both residents of Teetro, and Isran and Rasheed, both residents of Badhi Majra, accusing them of killing his brother, said Sharma.
