The body of Sub Inspector Hano Chatung with two bullet injuries on his head was found in the driver seat of his personal car, Itanagar Police Station officer in charge N Sora said.
A 2010 batch officer, Chatung was on his way to Doimukh from Itanagar to report for duty at around 7.30 in the morning. His body was found at around 8 AM.
Police suspect it to a case of suicide as bullet marks were found on the right side of the head of the deceased and a hole caused by bullet was detected on the left side of the roof of the car.
Meanwhile, the body was sent for postmortem at Tomo Riba State Hospital in Naharlagun.
