Burglars struck at house of UP minister

Burglars made off with cash and valuables from the house of minister of state for Agriculture Rajiv Kumar Singh in Tikaitnagar area of the district.
The theft took place last night at the residence of Singh in Hadha village, police said.
The thieves broke open locks of three almirahs and stole valuable and cash, police said, adding that they also took away a deposit box.
Police said that Singh had gone to Chandigarh with his family members and assessment of stolen items will be done after he returns.
