Businessman injured in pub brawl in Delhi

A 29-year-old businessman was injured in a brawl at a prominent hotel in central Delhi's Connaught Place area here today.
The incident took place around 12 AM today, when the victim brushed past another man in the bar leading to a heated argument between the two, said police.
Soon, a third person intervened in the fight and later started verbally abusing the businessman. The accused (third person) along with an associate, allegedly attacked the victim with an empty bottle, they said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC has been filed in the incident, police said, adding that no arrests have been made.

"Investigation has been taken up and further action will be taken as per legal provisions," an official said.
The official added that the accused men and the victim knew each other and they had entered into scuffles before.
The victim is a resident of southeast Delhi's Greater Kailash area and is into construction business, police added.
