M Chinnasamy, chairman of 'Olirum Erodu,' said contributions from the members helped them spend Rs 30 lakh to paint the government headquarters hospital and procure two dialysis machines for Rs 15 lakh there. They also decided to spend Rs 10 lakh to start a mini park in the hospital,he said.
Helped by Rs 21 lakh funding from the constituency development fund of Erode East MLA Chandrakumar, they donated one ventilator, a Bubble CPAP, a blood GAS analyzer and 10 Radiant Warmer to the neonatal ward of the hospital, he said.
Special efforts would be taken to create awareness on segregating gradable and non-gradable waste he added.
