C'garh polls: BJP leads in 9 seats

The ruling BJP is leading in nine while Congress in 2 out of 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh, as per preliminary trends of counting underway at 26 centres in the state.
BJP state chief Vishnudeo Sai is leading by 7,510 votes from Raigarh seat against Congress' Aarti Singh, whereas BJP nominee from Surguja, Kamalbhan Singh Marawi is leading by 2,095 votes against Congress' Ram Dev Ram.
In Korba seat, BJP's Banshilal Mahto is ahead by a little margin of 568 votes against Congress veteran and Union Minister of State for Agriculture Charandas Mahant.
BJP nominee from Bilaspur seat Lakhanlal Sahu is leading by 1,428 votes against Congress' Karuna Sahkla.
Chief Minister Raman Singh's son Abhishek Singh is leading by 5,960 votes against Congress' Kamleshwar Verma.
Surprisingly, BJP's popular woman leader Saroj Pandey is trailing by 998 votes against Congress' Tamradhwaj Sahu.
Sitting BJP MP from Raipur seat and party veteran Ramesh Bais is leading against incumbent Congress MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, while another party sitting MP from Bastar Dinesh Kashyap is leading by 5,111 votes.
BJP's sitting MP Kamla Devi Patle is leading by 3,210 votes against Congress' Prem Chand Jaisi from Janjgir-Champa seat.
BJP's former minister and sitting MLA Vikram Usendi is leading by 4,783 votes against Congress nominee Phulo Devi Netam from the tribal-reserved Kanker seat.
Former Chief Minister and Congress strongman Ajit Jogi is leading by 1,402 votes against BJP's sitting MP Chandulal Sahu from Mahasamund seat.
In 2009 general election, BJP had won 10 out of 11 seats while the lone Korba constituency had gone to the Congress camp.
