In a BSE filing, the company said Sankar has been appointed as "Part-Time Official Director with effect from December 18".
Also, C Balakrishnan has been appointed as Non-official Part-Time Director of Neyveli Lignite Corporation with effect from December 23, the company said.
Shares of the company ended at Rs 59.75 a piece, up by 0.67 per cent over previous close in BSE.
