Sub-inspector S Vijaykumar of Ramchandrapuram police station said that Naveen, who drove a car under an agreement with the cab agreegator firm, was stopped by four persons at Hakimpet crossroads last night.
They asked him why he was driving the cab when other drivers attached to the agreegator firm were protesting, and forced him to drive to Tellapur village.
At the village, they torched Naveen's cab, the police officer said.
Police were examining the CCTV footage of the area. Probe is on.
