According to C Shankar Reddy, Jeedimetla Police Inspector, the accused Krishnaiah allegedly killed 19-year- old Sowmya, by punching her on chest and dumped the body in a lake after packing it in a bag at HMT area.

"They both were in love with each other. Of late the accused started suspecting that she was moving close to another man. On the pretext of talking to her, Kishnaiah took her to an isolated place in his cab yesterday.
The cab driver surrendered before police this morning.
