The proposed centre will offer foreign students a chance to pursue one of the semesters of their course at the University as part of its 'India Semester' programme, a varsity press release said here today.
About 30 courses under various disciplines like Sanskrit, drama, zoology, botany, physics, chemistry, malayalam, hindi, psychology and arabic are to be included in the programme, said Libu Alexander, Co-ordinator, Centre of International Relations of the university.
A number of initiatives like credit-transfer, dual degree, twinning programme offering students to complete their course in CU and in a selected foreign varsity and student-teacher exchange programmes are also under plan as part of the new centre, it said.
Vice Chancellor M Abdul Salam will inaugurate the centre at the varsity campus on July 31, the release added.
