Officials say a car bomb on a busy commercial street in the Iraqi capital has killed at least five people.
A security official says the explosion took place today evening in the western Baghdad neighbourhood of Jihad, and that 15 people were also wounded in the attack.
A hospital official confirmed the casualty figures. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorised to brief the media.
Baghdad has been relatively quiet in recent weeks as security forces have deployed en masse following a Sunni insurgent offensive across much of northern and western Iraq.
