Cardamom futures down 1.10% on profit-booking

Cardamom futures prices fell by 1.10 per cent to Rs 797.80 per kg today after speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels.
Moreover, adequate stock position following increased arrivals from producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for March eased by Rs 8.90, or 1.10 per cent, to Rs 797.80 per kg, with a business turnover of six lots.
The spice for delivery in February fell by Rs 8, or 0.99 per cent, to Rs 796.70 per kg, with a trading volume of 175 lots.
Marketmen said besides profit-taking by speculators at existing prices, increased arrivals from producing regions, mainly put pressure on cardamom prices in the futures market.
