Turner International’s kids television channel Cartoon Network, which reaches out to more than 30 million viewers in India, will be launching an all-new series - Ben 10: Omniverse - from November 26, 2012.
For the first time in its history, Cartoon Network territories covering over 178 countries and 27 languages will premiere a series closely together with a coordinated global campaign that began in the US in September.
“Ben 10 is Cartoon Network’s most successful original global franchise that has transcended geographical borders and has grown beyond television to become one of kids’ most celebrated brands. Ben 10: Omniverse has received a phenomenal response globally and we are very optimistic about its success in India as well,” said Krishna Desai, director (content -- South Asia), Turner International India.
In this new series, beating the bad guys is just part of the superhero gig. With a little help from his new, by-the-book partner, Rook, Ben 10 explores the quirkier side of things in the alien underground and discovers enemies from his past looking for a rematch, all while a mysterious hunter is hot on his trail.
Coinciding with the launch of the Ben 10: Omniverse series, Cartoon Network Enterprises, the licencing and merchandising arm of Cartoon Network, is launching six Ben 10 Comics in partnership with Penguin Books this month. For the first time ever, these action-packed comics feature all three of Ben’s avatars (Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien) under one title, Turner said in a release.
