The case was filed in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Ashok Kumar Shukla by a native of Tamganj village under Narpatganj police station, Pintu Kumar who charged Prasad with hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by claiming that some from the community too eat beef.
The complainant has also expressed concern that Prasad's remarks may affect peace and law and order in the state.
The judge is likely to hear the matter tomorrow.
Cases have also been lodged against the RJD supremo for his beef remarks in courts in Patna and Muzaffarpur districts.
