The State Vigilance Commission (SVC) today asked the State Vigilance Organisation to register a case against a former director and an orderly of the Fisheries Department for regularizing the services of an orderly allegedly on fake and forged documents. "State Vigilance Commission (SVC) has asked Vigilance Organization (VO) to register a case against the former Director of the Fisheries Department, N A Qureshi, for regularizing the services of Muzaffar Ahmad Shaksaz on fake documents," a SVC spokesman said.
He said Shaksaz was appointed as orderly by then Qureshi for a period of one year in the first instance and his continuation on the post was conditional with his work and conduct.
"Leaving aside all the contents and conditions of the order, the Director regularized the service of the Shaksaz within two months after appointment which speaks itself about the mala-fide intentions of the officer," he said.
Earlier, the Commission had taken cognizance of a complaint received by it and asked the present Director Fisheries to conduct an enquiry into the matter and submit action taken report to the Commission for further action.
"As per the interim report, submitted by the Director Fisheries, the orderly, Shaksaz was allowed to work temporarily as orderly in 2006 while scrutinizing documentary evidence, it was also found that appointment was made without advertising the post and inviting applications and without adherence to rules and procedures while the qualification certificate produced by him proved to be fake", he said.
For utter satisfaction, the Commission also summoned the Principal, Higher Secondary School Achabal and Headmaster, Boys Middle School, Achabal and examined original records related to the case, which revealed that qualification of Shaksaz was 6th pass not 8th pass as recorded on the service book.
"Deeming it fit cognizable case for action, the Commission has directed Vigilance Organization for registration of case against perpetrators," he said.
