Stating this here today, a spokesman said the project will be implemented on the stretch from Sirhol toll plaza at Delhi-Gurgaon border (km 24) in Haryana to Chandwaji bypass (km 219) near Jaipur in Rajasthan.
Under the project, one has to call Toll Free Number 1033 if any accident takes place on the identified stretch of NH-8 along with location and details of the accident and ambulance will rush to the spot to provide necessary first aid to the victim and transport the person to the nearest medical facility, he said.
The victim will be immediately shifted to the nearest empanelled hospital wherein the person will get cashless treatment for the first 48 hours for upto Rs 30,000, he said.
About 43 hospitals have been empanelled for the pilot project on this stretch, he added.
