Douglas, 68, who is married to Zeta-Jones for 13 years, said she is much better now and on the way to recovery, reported Daily Express.
"Sometimes you don't think you need any meds at all and you forget your meds. Then all of a sudden you get on a real ride. But she's fine. She's got it stabled out. I can't wait to see her. It's a slippery slope, this bipolar stuff," she said.
Douglas, who is promoting his latest film 'Behind The Candelabra' about flamboyant pianist Liberace, has faced his own serious medical problems after he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010.
"I am the luckiest guy in the world. I beat cancer and I've got the best part I've ever had," he said.
