Cattle smuggler held, seven animals recovered

A cattle smuggler was arrested and seven heads of cattle recovered here, police said today.
According to Additional SP (Rural) Jagdish Sharma, police caught the accused and recovered the cattle last night at Chaudahedi village.
As the police signalled a mini van to stop, the driver of the vehicle tried to speed away. The police launched a chase and blocked the van on its way.
Seven animals were recovered from the vehicle. While the police nabbed one of the accused, two others managed to flee.
