According to Markapur town sub inspector of police Y Srihari, a complaint was received by that Somasekhar had cheated a woman to the tune of Rs 9.8 lakh, besides several others from Markapur town of Prakasam district.
The police official said that Somasakhar started a cattle business in Markapur town three months ago. He took away unproductive cattle from cattle owners and gave them milch cattle.
Initially, he ran his business in a trustworthy manner but began defaulting on payments later.
Somasekhar cheated around 12 people to whom he owes dues worth about Rs 1 crore, the police official said, adding that the police is trying to locate him.
