CBI arrests army jawan, one more in recruitment graft

CBI has arrested an armyman along with another official here for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe from a person whose son had appeared for the recruitment test.
Army Naik Sachin Kadam, posted at Bombay Engineering Group Centre at Kirkee in Pune, was caught by CBI while accepting part payment of Rs 10,000 from the complainant, CBI officials said here.
In a statement, CBI said, "A case was registered against Army Naik, Bombay Engineering Group Centre, Kirkee, Pune for demanding bribe of Rs 1.50 lakh from the complainant for issuing the call letter in the name of his son who was selected for the post of army jawan."

"During interrogation of the accused, it came to light that another official was also involved in the said crime. Thereafter, search at the residences of both the accused was conducted and incriminating documents have been recovered," it said.
